"Special Kids" Portraits

Children with special needs (physical, mental or emotional) require a photographer with special skills. We are accredited by Special Kids Photography of America, an organization dedicated to training photographers to provide high quality photographic services while being aware of and empathetic to your child's special needs. We will do sessions at home or at the hospital, with or without assistive devices, such as wheelchairs, breathing tubes, etc. If your child has special requirements, please discuss these considerations with us at the consultation. End-of-life and Memorial Portraits

When a loved one falls ill, having a portrait session may seem incongruous or even thoughtless. However, some families (especially those with members living far away) would like to have a loving remembrance of their loved one's last days. Photography done at these times is kept very unobtrusive, so as not to tire the person or create any intrusion into the family's very sensitive time. These short, intimate sessions are done at home or at the hospital or hospice.

Memorial portraits are given a priority, having a turn-around time of a few days. We will help you select one of your old photographs of your loved one for retouching and restoration. The image will be printed on 11x14 or 16x20 canvasboard so that it can be displayed with or without a frame at the memorial or funeral service.
